Google Pixel 10th generation smartphones released

Google has unveiled the 10th generation of Google Pixel smartphones: the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the foldable Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold. The new models offer a new design, improved cameras, advanced artificial intelligence, and more. Let's take a look at the design and software updates of each model.

Google Pixel 10

The most significant changes are in the base model of the new series. The Google Pixel 10 is equipped with a 6.3-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 3000 nits of maximum brightness and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protective glass.

The device is powered by a new 3 nm Google Tensor G5 chip, which has increased the processing speed of the processor and artificial intelligence by 34% and 60%, respectively. The more powerful chipset also requires an improved cooling system with an evaporative cooling chamber. The gadget running Android 16 will receive system updates for seven years. In the US, the smartphone supports sending emergency signals via satellite. Externally, the Google Pixel 10 is almost the same as the Pixel 9, but the main camera module now combines three sensors at once. We are talking about a 48-megapixel Samsung GN8 main camera with optical stabilization and autofocus, as well as a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle Sony IMX712 lens with a 120-degree coverage angle. Finally, Google's flagship smartphone for the first time acquired a telephoto lens - a 10.8-megapixel Samsung 3J1 sensor with support for 5x optical zoom. On the front is a 10.5-megapixel selfie camera with the ability to record video in 4K quality at 60 frames per second.

The base model has 12 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of internal storage.

Artificial Intelligence

Google also introduced a number of advanced AI-based features, including:

Magic Cue: a personalized virtual assistant that analyzes your screen and actions to provide useful suggestions at the right time.

Camera Coach: a shooting assistant that provides real-time advice on framing, lighting, optimal camera modes, and other important aspects.

Auto Best Take: artificial intelligence analyzes shots to select the best angles of a person in a group photo, then combines them into a single shot.

Add Me: This tripod-replacing feature can combine two shots taken by different group members so that everyone is in the frame.

The Google Pixel 10 has IP68 protection against moisture and dust. The smartphone is equipped with a 4970 mAh battery with support for 29 W fast charging and 15 W wireless charging. The smartphone also introduced the new Pixelsnap system, an analogue of Apple's MagSafe, which allows you to connect smartphones to wireless chargers using a magnetic system.

Google Pixel 10 Pro / Pro XL

The new generation of "senior" models from Google are equipped with the same Tensor G5 chipset, but at the same time have more advanced cameras. So, the Pixel 10 Pro received a 6.3-inch screen with a resolution of 1.5K, a frame rate of 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 3300 nits. The gadget is equipped with a 4870 mAh battery with support for wired and wireless charging with a capacity of 29 and 15 W, respectively.

The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL has a larger LTPO AMOLED display with a higher QHD+ resolution, up to 6.8 inches. It also has a larger 5,200 mAh battery that supports 39 W fast charging and 25 W Qi2 wireless charging.

The camera system of both smartphones is identical. The central part is a 50 MP Samsung GNV sensor with a very large 1.3-inch sensor and f/1.7 aperture. It works with a 48 MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 48 MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. Selfies and video calls are taken by a 32 MP camera with autofocus. The Pixel 10 Pro has 16 GB and 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB of internal memory, respectively. The Pixel 10 Pro XL has 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB of internal memory.

Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold

Google also introduced the new Pixel 10 Pro Fold, which received a slightly larger external screen, more powerful hardware and a larger battery. The gadget’s body, made of aerospace aluminum, is 10.8 mm and 5.2 mm thick when folded and unfolded, respectively. Weight: 258 g. It has IP68 protection against moisture and dust.

The Tensor G5 chipset is responsible for the work, providing support for various functions based on artificial intelligence. The amount of RAM, regardless of the version, is 16 GB.

The Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold features a 6.4-inch outer and 8-inch inner flexible OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 3,000 nits of peak brightness. Several additional layers have been added to the glass to increase reliability and durability.

The triple camera system is represented by a 48-megapixel main sensor with macro focus, a 10.8-megapixel telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, and a 10.5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. A 10-megapixel selfie camera is located above the inner and outer screens.

The battery capacity has increased from 4,650 to 5,015 mAh. The battery supports wired and wireless charging with a power of 30 and 15 W, respectively.
