Quick and Easy Setup

DJI setup is simple and intuitive. The transmitters and receiver are paired from the start. Follow these steps to start recording in just a few minutes:

Power on: Press and hold the power button on both the receiver and transmitters for two seconds. The system will prompt you to select a language and set the time during the first boot.

Pairing devices (if necessary): If the connection is lost, you have two options: place the transmitters and receiver in the charging case for automatic pairing, or manually activate the “Pair devices” option in the receiver menu. After successful pairing, the indicator on the transmitter will turn green.

Connect the microphone: The transmitter is easily attached to clothing with a magnetic clip. The rotating mechanism of the clip allows you to point the microphone directly at the sound source for maximum quality.

Reduce wind noise: For outdoor recording, simply attach the windscreen by aligning the plastic base with the transmitter opening. This will effectively reduce background wind noise while keeping your audio clear.

Audio

DJI Mic 3 impresses with its professional recording capabilities, allowing you to record lossless audio, even in difficult conditions. The microphone supports 32-bit-float internal recording, providing exceptional dynamic range. What this means: The system can record audio from the quietest whispers to the loudest voices, without clipping or distortion, offering a wide range of audio processing options. Dual recording is also supported: a backup recording is stored in parallel, eliminating the risk of data loss. There is 32 GB of internal memory; external memory cards are not required.

Dual-band audio transmission

The system uses noise-canceling technology with automatic switching between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies, ensuring a stable connection up to 400 meters away in open areas. Lossless Audio mode (when enabled) transmits uncompressed audio at 48 kHz and 24-bit resolution, capturing every detail in high quality.

Smart features for perfect sound

In addition to basic sound quality, DJI Mic 3 is equipped with smart solutions that automate the recording process and allow you to focus on creativity.

Automatic Gain Control

This feature automatically adjusts the volume level to prevent distortion. Two modes are available: automatic, which is ideal for dynamic events such as sports broadcasts where the volume fluctuates significantly, and dynamic, which smooths out the sound, useful for studio recordings.

Two-level noise cancellation

DJI Mic 3 offers two levels of background noise cancellation. Basic (low level) is ideal for quiet environments, reducing the hum of fans and air conditioners, while maximum (high level) maintains voice clarity in noisy outdoor environments.

Voice Tone Presets

You can tailor the sound to your needs using three tone presets: Normal, which is natural and balanced; Rich, which offers deeper bass; and Bright, which provides extra clarity, perfect for broadcasts and educational videos.

Multi-device support (4 transmitters + 8 receivers)

A single receiver can work with up to four transmitters simultaneously. Great for group interviews or multi-voice recordings. It is also possible to synchronize audio with up to seven additional receivers.

Direct Connection Without a Receiver

With the DJI OsmoAudio™ ecosystem, you can connect the transmitter to DJI devices like the Osmo Action 4, Osmo Pocket 3, and Osmo 360, bypassing the receiver. You can also wirelessly connect the transmitter and your smartphone via Bluetooth for quick recording on the go.

Integrated Timecode for Professional Editing

When shooting with multiple cameras, synchronizing audio and video is a challenge. DJI Mic 3 solves this problem with its built-in, high-precision timecode generator. It allows you to match tracks with an accuracy of less than one frame per day, significantly speeding up editing.

All-day charging

Your filming shouldn’t be interrupted by low battery. The DJI Mic 3 offers long-lasting battery life: one transmitter can operate for up to 8 hours, and the receiver for up to 10 hours.

Charging case: The portable case extends the total battery life to 28 hours, providing approximately 2.4 full charges for both transmitters and receivers.

Quick charge: Just 5 minutes of charging provides up to 2 hours of use. A full charge takes approximately 50 minutes.

Use while charging: The system supports recording while charging; there’s no need to interrupt the process.
